The first major MMA event is a few hours away to begin in Saudi Arabia as The Professional Fighters League and Bellator MMA square off at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

PFL acquired Bellator in November, and in the first-ever PFL vs Bellator, the best from each promotion will battle for supremacy, with the heavyweight and middleweight champions from the respective organizations facing off.

The highly anticipated showdown was supposed to feature four title fights between PFL-Bellator champions: Ryan Bader vs. Renan Ferreira in the main event, Impa Kasanganay vs. Johnny Eblen, Patricio “Pitbull” Freire vs. Jesus Pinedo and Magomed Magomedkerimov vs. Jason Jackson.

Unfortunately, the card has taken some hits with fighters falling out, with two battles of current champions remaining now. Bellator champion Jackson has ended up with a replacement after his original opponent pulled out.

Another Bellator champion, Patricio “Pitbull” Freire, was scheduled to meet 2023 PFL finalist Gabriel Braga on short notice, but Braga withdrew from the bout.
