After squaring off against each other in a football game, the Prime co-founder KSI and the American streamer IShowSpeed compete in a highly-anticipated boxing spar on Friday.
Both the YouTubers have been good friends, and this is far from the first time they have teased a potential fight and are expected to put on a good show as they attempt to steal Jake Paul’s shine.
KSI has tried to counter-program its rival, Jake Paul, by fighting simultaneously when Jake Paul is expected to take on Andre August. The KSI vs IShowSpeed event isn’t an officially sanctioned bout, and both will only be sparring for charity.
When is KSI vs IShowSpeed?
KSI vs IShowSpeed fight will take place on Friday, December 15th, in London. The event will begin at 4:00 am GMT / 11:00 pm ET / 8:00 pm PT (the same time Jake Paul will take on Andre August).
All donations and YouTube revenue from the sparring match will be donated to the Anthony Walker Foundation, which supports victims of racism by providing educational opportunities, victim support services, and promoting equity.
How to Watch KSI vs IShowSpeed?
The sparring session will be shown for free on Speed’s YouTube channel, non PPV event. All proceeds from either donations or ad revenue will be given to the Anthony Walker foundation. The sparring session will not be shown on TV – YouTube is the only place to watch the fighters attempt to hit each other.
KSI vs IShowSpeed: Preview
The 18-year-old streamer has never fought before but has shared training images on social media platform. The Cristiano Ronaldo super fan lost this year’s Sidemen charity football match against the Sidemen team 8-5, where KSI also saved Speed’s penalty.
Later in November, IShowSpeed called for a fight against KSI, who gladly accepted the offer by stating on Twitter:
“It’s that time I’ve been waiting to kick your a** for a long time. When is the sparring match? Stop ignoring me and stop being scared drop a date now b****.”
Without any doubt, KSI is one of the most famous social media personalities today and is the face of PRIME Hydration drinks alongside Logan Paul. He is also credited with starting the influencer boxing trend, with his amateur bouts against Paul and Joe Weller paving the way for other influencers to follow suit.
30-year-old YouTuber last faced Tommy Fury, WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury’s half-brother, in a professional bout in October in Manchester, which resulted in his first-ever loss. He started positively, but ultimately, Fury won the six-round contest unanimously.
That defeat was close, and the British boxer later appealed the result to the PBS but lost.
KSI vs IShowSpeed: What has been said?
KSI has said:
“Speed is a random guy, he just does wants he wants. You don’t know what to expect with him, if he wants to get in the ring then he can.
“It would be sick to have Speed fighting, it’s all on him. I mean, it’s a boxing match so you can only punch. I’ve seen his speed, and I know he is fast.”
“It depends on how hard he goes. If he’s going nuts, then I’m going to put him in cage.”
‘It’ll be good. They’ll be a lot of people watching. I know they’ll be more people watching our spar than Jake’s fight.” He further added.
Meanwhile, Speed has said:
“You all don’t know how I can fight. You all don’t know what these hands can do. I don’t care if he’s Nigerian, I’m going to prove everybody wrong.
“I’m beating his a* bro. I’m literally going to f* KSI up. I’m going to beat the f* out of KSI. He can’t f* with me and you all know that.”
The fight is on the same day and time as Jake Paul vs Andre August, but ‘The Problem Child’ isn’t worried about the sparring session, as he stated in an interview.
“I feel like the whole entire thing has backfired, because it’s just brought more conversation to my fight. People have two screens, you know. They can watch two things at once. A 30-year-old guy is just out there with me on his mind all the time, trying to take things away from me, or mess up my business. It’s funny that I live rent free in this kid’s head.’
