The 96th Academy Awards are almost approaching. Oscars will be given out in all 23 categories this year, and ten films are competing for Best Picture.

The Oscar ceremony this year will take place on Sunday, March 10 at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood. The 96th Academy Awards main event is scheduled to begin at 7:00 pm ET, with the preshow and red carpet walk starting at 6:30 pm ET. It will be broadcast live on ABC and in over 200 countries throughout the globe.

The 96th Oscars: The Host and the Presenters 

This year’s Oscars will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel for the fourth time. Additionally, Molly McNearney, Katy Mullan, and creator Raj Kapoor executive produce it.

The four actors who won Oscars last year—Michelle Yeoh for Actress in a Leading Role, Brendan Fraser for Actor in a Leading Role, Jamie Lee Curtis for Actress in a Supporting Role, and Ke Huy Quan for Actor in a Supporting Role—will be making a return appearance on the Oscars stage as presenters.

The other presenters on the schedule are Lupita Nyong’o, Catherine O’Hara, Al Pacino, Michelle Pfeiffer, Sam Rockwell, Octavia Spencer, Zendaya, Regina King, Kate McKinnon, Jessica Lange, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Keaton, Bad Bunny, Nicolas Cage, Chris Hemsworth, Dwayne Johnson, and Michael Keaton.

The 96th Academy Awards Nominations

With 13 nominations overall, including three for acting, Best Picture, and Best Directing, Oppenheimer is the most nominated movie of the year. Killers of the Flower Moon comes in second with ten nominations, followed by Poor Things with eleven.

American Fiction, Anatomy of a Fall, Barbie, The Holdovers, Killers of the Flower Moon, Maestro, Oppenheimer, Past Lives, Poor Things, and The Zone of Interest are this year’s nominations for Best Picture.

On Tuesday, January 23, the 96th Academy Awards nominations were revealed. Presenting the live nominations from the Samuel Goldwyn Theatre of the Academy were Zazie Beetz and Jack Quaid.
